AENOR renews Fraternidad-Muprespa's Quality and Environmental Management System certifications
These are UNE-EN ISO 9001 and 14001 certificates, which the Mutual Fund has had for more than ten years.
The delivery took place at the headquarters of the general subdirectorate of Systems and Services of Fraternidad-Muprespa, on José Abascal street in Madrid, in an event that was attended by AENOR, its director in Madrid, Enrique Megia, and on behalf of Fraternidad-Muprespa, its Deputy General Director of Information Systems and Services, Pedro Serrera, the Deputy Director General of Prevention, Quality and Communication, Natalia Fdez. Laviada, the director of the Department of Quality and Environment, Elena Iglesias, and the director of the Information Systems Security Department, Luis Martínez del Pino.
The first certification of the UNE-EN ISO 9001:2015 standard refers to quality management systems for the administrative activities of services associated with the coverage of professional and common contingencies of the associated patient and the performance of preventive Social Security activities.
For its part, UNE-EN ISO 14001:2015, the environmental standard par excellence, remains the central axis of environmental management and an essential tool for integrating the environment into the overall management of the Mutual Fund.
According to what Natalia Fdez. Laviada expressed at the event, “it is significant in our trajectory within the 9001 certification that, in this renewal, the preventive activities entrusted by Social Security to the Mutual Collaborators with Social Security are included, from technical advice programs to SMEs and companies, to dissemination of prevention tools, support in the adaptation of jobs for those who have suffered a work accident or measures to reduce accidents and occupational diseases of our associated companies.
For her part, Elena Iglesias stated that "the renewal of the UNE EN ISO 14001:2015 certification reaffirms the fundamental role that this standard plays in the integration of the environment in the global management of our entity. Since 2013, our environmental certification is proof of the commitment to sustainability and ecological responsibility."
Iglesias also highlighted that this commitment is also reflected in the recent verification in 2024 of the entity's carbon footprint, which it has carried out since 2016. "These actions reinforce our determination to minimize our environmental impact and promote more sustainable practices in our sector."
On the other hand, the activities that include the provision of computer and telecommunications infrastructure management services, in addition to the design, development and launch of computer applications in information technologies and user service centers have also been renewed in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
Pedro Serrera expressed his gratitude for the renewal of this certificate that Fraternidad-Muprespa has kept in force in the field of its Information Systems since 2010, and that "helps us in the process of design, construction and deployment of all computer systems both for internal clients and for our associated companies and protected workers." “This certificate,” he added, “is complemented by the Information Systems Security certificate, according to the ISO/IEC 27001 standard, as well as the National Security Scheme RD 311/2022.”
For Luis Martínez del Pino, “having adequate systems that support the business processes of our Mutual Fund results in an improvement in health care and other Social Security benefits, which constitute our core of activity.”
