RESPONSIVE SUCCESS, WITH MORE THAN 200 ATTENDEES, AT THE WORKSHOP ON LABOR REFORM HELD IN MADRID
On March 6 and 7, the Central Hospital of Fraternidad-Muprespa It became the main hall of the Mutua. There, specific cases, real and potential situations that may arise with the new Labor Market Reform were analyzed, debated and presented.
The information day “Fundamental aspects of the Labor Market Reform” It had two exceptional speakers to illustrate the reform to those gathered there. The first intervention,“Dismissal and collective bargaining in the Labor Market Reform Law”, was carried out by Mr. Gabriel García Becedas, Professor of Labor Law at the Autonomous University of Madrid, focusing on the modifications concerning collective bargaining, dismissal and employment contract. Another central section in his presentation was related to the unification of the causes for collective dismissal or substantial alteration of working conditions. The aspects involved in the dismissal process, absenteeism, the disappearance of administrative authorization, the procedure and type of challenge to dismissal were analyzed.
Secondly and under the title “Hiring and internal flexibility in the Labor Market Reform Law”, The Professor of Labor Law at the Rey Juan Carlos University and partner of the Gómez Acebo-Pombo firm and President of Aranzadi Social, Mr. Antonio Sempere Navarro, who began his presentation with a brief contextual analysis of the regulations and situations that have arisen prior to the DR. During his dissertation he focused on explaining the main aspects that are perceived with the Reform to promote employment, as well as the aspects linked to labor flexibility, contractual modifications, business benefits and training. He highlighted the great inconvenience caused by excessive abuse of labor regulations. According to the Professor “ The Royal Decree leaves many aspects open to other areas and regulations that have not been contemplated in the design of the current reform. "It is better to have fewer regulations and make them more explicit." Argument that was sustained during the debate in response to questions about the conversion to indefinite contracts, actions in response to dismissal challenges, the reuse of regulations that were almost repealed...
After the presentations, interesting debates were opened, moderated by Mr. Julio Santos Palacios, Director of Network Relations, y Mr. Rafael Domenech Gironi, Director of the Legal Advice and Services Center of Without a doubt, the presentations were not only didactic examples, they also covered their aspect of legal advice and interpretation.
