SIGNING OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE UNIVERSITY OF JAÉN AND Fraternidad-Muprespa: CONFERENCE ON ACTIVE AGING
The Mutual Collaborator with Social Security Fraternidad-Muprespa and the University of Jaen have collaborated on this occasion to carry out an interesting day, under the title "Promoting sustainable working life: Healthy jobs at every age: “Active aging and strategies to deal with it”.
This day has been celebrated based on the signed agreement between the University of Jaén and Fraternidad-Muprespa, which provides for the establishment and development of academic, cultural and scientific relations between both entities. With it, the organization and carrying out of training actions is enhanced.
As an example, this event, which is part of the Master's Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention taught at said University, was held on November 10 at the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences. The event was aimed at master's students, and was also attended by professors from the university itself, company representatives and labor advisors.
Manuel García Jiménez, director of the Master in Occupational Risk Prevention at the University of Jaén, opened the day, presenting and giving the floor to Natalia Fernández Laviada, deputy general director of Prevention, Quality and Communication of Fraternidad-Muprespa, who made a presentation in which she highlighted that “ Companies, social agents and institutions have the duty to design and offer safe and healthy working conditions that take into account the age factor throughout the entire cycle of people's professional lives.“It cannot be ignored.”that the number of employed people over 65 years of age has grown by 28% in the last two years. There are currently 162,600 people, including self-employed and salaried workers, within this group”.
Next,Christopher Molina Navarrete, professor of Labor and Social Security Law at the University of Jaén, has presented an interesting presentation on active aging and employment: public policies and management experiences.
Complying with the order of the program,Juan Guasch Farrás, director of the National Center for Working Conditions of Barcelona of the INSHT, has presented the 2016-2017 campaign on “Healthy jobs at every age”. This campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of having good occupational health and safety (OSH) management throughout one's working life, as well as adapting work to the capabilities of each worker from the beginning to the end of their professional career.
He then intervened Yolanda Sánchez-Urán Azaña, professor of Labor and Social Security Law at the Complutense University of Madrid, who has spoken about “social protection and active aging policy.”
“Public policies on active aging, assessment from the Public Administration and the Mutual Funds Collaborating with Social Security” have been presented respectively by Andrés Trillo García, chief lawyer of the Service at the National Social Security Institute and by Antonio de Cos Blanco, director of the own Prevention Service department of Fraternidad-Muprespa.
The closing was carried out by Isabel Ramos Vazquez, dean of the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences of the University of Jaén, who thanked all attendees for their presence.
