Cessation of Activity Benefits RDL 30/2020 (3ᵉʳ Package)
The Government has approved Royal Decree-Law 30/2020, of September 29, on social measures to defend employment, in favor of the self-employed workers most affected by the consequences of the COVID-19 crisis.
The new measures consist of: the extension until January 31, 2021 of the special benefit for cessation of activity provided for in article 9 of Royal Decree Law 24/2020, to guarantee a minimum income to self-employed workers who are affected by the suspension of their activity by virtue of an administrative resolution; give a subsidy to those others who do not have the necessary deficiency to access any other benefit for cessation of activity; and create new aid for seasonal self-employed workers, in the second semester, who have seen their activity reduced due to the current health and economic crisis.

What benefits can I request?
1. If you need help to compensate for the losses suffered as a result of having been forced to completely suspend your activity as a result of a resolution by the competent authority you can request the benefit regulated in Art.13.1 of Royal Decree-Law 30/2020.
Application deadline: within 15 days following the entry into force of the resolution to suspend the activity.
2. If you do not have the necessary deficiency to access benefits for cessation of activity that have such a requirement (ordinary benefit for cessation of activity -art 327 TRLGSS- or benefit for cessation of activity compatible with self-employment -DA 4ª RDL 30/2020) and you expect to have income from self-employed activity in the last quarter of the 2020 financial year not exceeding the minimum interprofessional salary , as well as a 50% reduction in relation to the income in the first quarter of 2020 , then can request the aid regulated in art. 13.2 of Royal Decree-Law 30/2020.
3. If you are a seasonal self-employed worker who works between the months of June and December and could not access the extraordinary CATA.COVID-19 benefit, you will be able to access the new benefit regulated in article 14 of Royal Decree-Law 30/2020.
Application deadline: until January 31, 2021.
4. If you have been a beneficiary of the extraordinary benefit CATA .COVID-19 until June 30, 2020 (established in art. 17 of Royal Decree-Law 8/2020) and in the fourth quarter it foresees a reduction in billing of more than 75%(compared to the same period of the previous year) and in addition, does not obtain net income greater than €5,818.75 in said period, may request or extend the Cessation of activity benefit compatible with self-employment in the terms established in the fourth additional provision of Royal Decree-Law 30/2020.
Application deadline: until January 31, 2021.
If it is a seasonal self-employed worker who works between the months of March and October and could not access the extraordinary CATA.COVID-19 benefit, there is still time to request the benefit that was created in art. 10 of Royal Decree-Law 24/2020.
