Fraternidad-Muprespa, present at a conference on the labor model in times of Covid
Fraternidad-Muprespa, Mutual Collaborator with Social Security, was present at the round table, held digitally, "The changes in the work model in times of Covid.19: people and spaces", organized by ISS and in which Manuel Porrúa, director of the HR and CSR center of Fraternidad-Muprespa.
The event has focused on the analysis of the new work reality and the social impact that the pandemic has had on models and relationships in the workplace. In a meeting moderated by Marta Sevila, Director of Events at IFMA Spain, they took part as panelists, along with Manuel Porrúa, Lorena Espada, Director of IFMA Spain, and Raquel Cruz, Division Director at ISS Facility Services Spain and member of the Board of Directors of IFMA Spain.
The meeting addressed topics related to the new teleworking law, the reconfiguration of work spaces or changes in leadership models. Manuel Porrúa stated, regarding the generalization of teleworking and its abrupt arrival to thousands of companies, due to the pandemic, that we are “still in an emergency phase.” "We have gone from a generalized model of in-person workers to ensuring that teleworking is the paradigm. But we have done it due to an emergency and we must wait to know the development of the law and how the different companies adapt it to their workforces."
He also highlighted that the turbulent times we are experiencing, personally and professionally, make it difficult to address issues such as the prevention of occupational risks when employees are working at home. Regarding the communication models that must necessarily be established between company and employee, Porrúa assured that the immediate challenge is knowing how to deal with work if there is a disconnection between the person, their company and their environment. ”There must be trust between the two parties, in fact, you have to work a lot on it, to know that each one is doing their part.”
Finally, he described as “fundamental” the ability to have empathy for the deterioration experienced by the economy and highlighted the importance of digitalization to work during these months since “without the tools we have had at Fraternidad-Muprespa it would have been impossible.”
