Fraternidad-Muprespa participated in the "Leadership Seminarsgo and Management: the Experience of Women Managers" organized by the Women's Management Development Chair of the University of Zaragoza and theGovernment of Aragon with the collaboration ofWomen Directors of Aragon.

Natalia Fdez. "Kryptonites of healthy leadership", on the role of leadership in promoting well-being and occupational health.

This is a day framed in the IX Fraternidad-Muprespa Prevention Week that the Mutual Fund celebrates on the occasion of the commemoration on April 28 of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work and which this year has as its motto “Safe Work, your first objective”

Fdez. Laviada comenzó describiendo el liderazgo como una de las llamadas ‘soft skill’ fundamental para cualquier organización. “Being an effective leader is not only a skill that can be learned, but also a responsibility that must be assumed to guide the members of the organization towards the achievement of common goals,” he said, going on to explain that leadership involves “much more than giving orders and expecting them to be followed, since one is a leader with and without position”.

As explained, an effective leader must be able to inspire and motivate his team towards hard work and towards a shared vision. You must also be able to communicate clearly and listen to your team to understand their needs and challenges, as well as make important decisions in difficult situations.

“If we also add that we live in an increasingly complex and competitive world, leadership has become more necessary to face and overcome the challenges that arise in today's changing business environment,” he concluded.

Next he defined the keys to effective and healthy leadership, its weak points ('kryptonites') that distance us from that purpose, and the antidotes to combat them.

Narcissistic leaders act without empathy and are selfish, influenced by the phenomenon of “'egoism'. Their antidote is generosity.

The stressed leader has happiness as the antidote, understood as the necessary balance in life.

The sad leader has its origins in the fact that we live in a society with little tolerance for frustration. The antidote to overcome it is adaptation.

The lying leader is the one who acts without coherence. The antidote is the credible leader and communicator who makes sincerity his flag.

Finally, the solitary leader, who prefers to act on his own, and does not practice empathy. The antidote is socialization and learning to be a group leader.
