“Women, business and occupational health”, Fraternidad-Muprespa at the IX Congress of the SESST
Fraternidad-Muprespa participated this Thursday in the IX International Congress of Occupational Health and Risk Prevention, organized by the Spanish Society of Safety and Health at Work and the Spanish Society of Medicine and Safety of the Labor, which takes place in Madrid between March 23 and 25. The focus of this congress is, according to its title, “Business Humanism and the Digital Age: Advances and New Paradigms of the 21st Century.”
On behalf of the Mutual, Natalia Fdez. fourth symposium, ___"Advances and challenges for women in the new era of the 21st century", shared the presentation "Women, business and health labor".
In her presentation she described the different types of diversities, pointing out that gender diversities cannot be considered such, since women make up 51% of the planet's population.
Diversity provides added value and competitive advantages, strengthens cultural values, improves business reputation, attracts and retains talent, increases motivation, increases innovation and creativity, avoids conflicts and respects the majority ethical and legal codes
Regarding equality and necessary equity, he referred to a series of measures that companies can incorporate to promote conciliation and co-responsibility such as: temporary flexibility measures (free time banks, compressed work week or time adaptations, among others); spatial flexibility (remote work, virtual offices or videoconference meetings); have figures as agents of equality; unify personnel selection systems including equal opportunity criteria or design positive action measures.
