Traveling informative exhibition of 20th Century Prevention Posters
Occupational Risk Prevention in Spain has a long history that dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. In the first decades of that century, two phenomena coincide: the beginning of “motivational” advertising and the consideration of work accidents as a focal point of worker health.
Fraternidad-Muprespa as a Mutual Collaborator with Social Security, promotes preventive activities aimed at reducing work accidents and occupational diseases. In order to promote health education in organizations and help raise awareness of the healthy company, 50 posters have been selected from the collection of Carlos Velasco Murviedro , in which the evolution of the design and the preventive message itself can be appreciated.
The exhibition is completed with a commentary that accompanies each poster, in which the atmosphere referring to accidents and diseases or protection, prevention and advice is explained and contextualized throughout the decades.
