Special benefits and social assistance
What are they?
Special benefits are financial aid, which Fraternidad-Muprespa allocates to finance unexpected needs that workers and their heirs must face as a result of a professional contingency, as long as the work accident or occupational disease that occurred determines a special state or situation of need.
In the event of the death of the worker, any family member, spouse or common-law partner, who has the status of beneficiary and has met the expenses of the death, may be a beneficiary.
These aids are optional and different or complementary to the statutory Social Security benefits.

The types of aid that can be requested are the following:
- Rehabilitation and recovery.
- Professional reorientation and adaptation of the job.
- For the adaptation of the essential means for the development of the basic activities of daily life.
- Other benefits:
- Complement to death aid.
- Training in the care of people with severe disabilities.
- Maintenance of possession or enjoyment of the habitual residence.
The request received will be evaluated and resolved by the Special Benefits Commission, a joint and participation body of Fraternidad-Muprespa, with representation of the associated employers and workers protected and linked to the most representative Trade Union Centers.
